Meet the man...
Tony
Peña
Tony picked up his first massage book in 1982 (Frederick LeBoyer's Loving Hands: The Indian art of Baby Massage), and has maintained an interest in bodywork ever since. At that time he was five years into his law-enforcement stint and would remain therein until 1990.
In 1991/1992 he attended and successfully completed
the 1000 hour massage therapy program offered at The Boulder School
of Massage Therapy. Since then he has continued his bodywork
education studying myofascial release, craniosacral, muscle energy
and myoskeletal alignment techniques to name, but a few.
In addition to his bodywork studies, Tony is an avid practitioner of yoga. The combination of his yoga practice and bodywork studies have complemented each other and have instilled a hunger for better understanding the human body that continues to this day. Emerson, in his essay entitled Self Reliance, wrote: "Insist on yourself; never imitate. Your own gift you can present every moment with the cumulative force of a whole life's cultivation". It is this same spirit that Tony brings to the table every session.
Tony is a terrific massage therapist. I've been to health clubs, spas and resorts all over the country and nobody can hold a candle to him. He has an unbelievable wealth of knowledge, endless energy and a fabulous music selection. I used to think of massages as a luxury. Now that I've been going to Tony, they've become an integral part of my well being!
